4.6L LH2 Engine - Oil Leak in the Block at Threaded Hole Behind AC Bracket - kw bolt crank case block

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

2004 4.6L (LH2) engine Oil leak in the block at threaded hole behind A/C bracket.

The proven fix is degrease the threaded hole with a solvent (electrical contact cleaner works well) and allow to dry. Use a set screw 20-25 mm long. Thread is 10 X 1.5. Apply Loctite 242 thread sealant to the hole and bolt and assemble. NOTE: When installed (bottomed out) the Set Screw will be below the surface of the A/C bracket.
