J 21177-A Drum-to-Brake Shoe Clearance Gage

1. Remove the rear disc brake rotor (1). Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.



2. Set the J 21177-A so that the J 21177-A contacts the inside diameter of the rotor.



3. Position the J 21177-A over the shoe and lining at the widest point.
4. Turn the adjuster nut until the shoe and lining just contacts the J 21177-A .
5. Repeat steps two through five for the rotor on the opposite side.
6. Install the rear disc brake rotor (1). Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
