Removal Procedure

  1. Partially remove the lower splash shield in order to gain access to the fog lamps. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the lamp.

  3. Object Number: 276656  Size: SH
  4. Remove the fog lamp retaining bolts (2).
  5. Remove the fog lamp (1) from the impact bar (3).
  6. Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  7. Disconnect the connector from the bulb.
  8. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly by twisting ¼  and pulling outward.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bulb to the lamp assembly.
  2. Push the bulb inward and turn until the blub is retained.

  3. Connect the connector to the bulb.

  4. Object Number: 276656  Size: SH
  5. Install the fog lamp (1) to the impact bar (3).
  6. Install the fog lamp bracket to the impact bar (3).
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the fog lamp retaining bolts (2) to the impact bar (3).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2.5 N·m (53 lb in).

  10. Connect the connector to the lamp assembly.
  11. Install the lower splash shields. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
