  1. Use a scan tool to view the BFC INPUTS menu.
  2. Open and close the left front door several times.

Did the left front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

  1. Disconnect the left front door open switch connector.
  2. Use a fused jumper in order to ground the left front door open switch harness connector CKT 394 terminal A.
  3. Use a scan tool in order to view the BFC INPUTS menu.

Did the left front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

--

Go to Step 3

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the left front door open switch connector terminal D and the ground splice pack G302.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 12

  1. Disconnect the left front door lock switch connector.
  2. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the left front door open switch connector terminal D and the left front door lock switch connector terminal D.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Repair the open in CKT 650 between the left front door open switch connector terminal D and the left front door lock switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the left front door lock switch connector terminal D and ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Replace the left front door lock switch. Refer to Power Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 650 between the left front door lock switch connector terminal D and the ground splice pack G302. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Use a scan tool in order to view the BFC INPUTS menu.
  2. Disconnect the left IP junction block connector C3.
  3. Use a fused jumper in order to ground CKT 394 at the left IP junction block connector C3 terminal B9.

Did the left front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

  1. Disconnect the left IP junction block connector C2.
  2. Use a fused jumper in order to ground CKT 394 at the left IP junction block connector C2 terminal B4.

Did the left front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

Repair the open in CKT 394 between the left IP junction block connector C3 terminal B9 and the left front door open switch harness connector terminal A. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C1.
  2. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 394 between the left IP junction block connector C2 terminal B4 and the BCM connector C1 terminal B7.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Repair the open in CKT 394 between the left IP junction block connector C2 terminal B4 and the BCM connector C1 terminal B7. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
