Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 347709  Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiper arm assemblies from the vehicle. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panel from the vehicle. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the connector from the wiper motor assembly.
  4. Remove the 3 screws and the wiper drive system module from the vehicle.

  6. Remove the following components from the wiper motor assembly:
  7. • Three screws
    • The pulse circuit board
    • The cover assembly

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the pulse circuit board and the cover assembly onto the wiper motor assembly with three screws.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the wiper drive system module onto the vehicle with 3 screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Connect the connector to the wiper motor assembly.
  6. Install the air inlet grille panel onto the vehicle. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the wiper arm assemblies onto the vehicle. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  8. Operate the wipers, checking for proper operation.
