Interior windnoise will not be heard while the window is
lowered. Interior windnoise is caused by air leaving the inside of the vehicle
through a seal or seam.
Complete the following steps in order to locate the source of the windnoise:
- Tape off the pressure relief valve(s). This will cause the air
pressure to build-up inside the vehicle and enhance the windnoise.
- Test drive the vehicle.
- Listen for a windnoise whistle.
- Temporarily repair the condition using 51 mm (2 in)
masking tape.
- If you are unable to determine the source of the interior windnoise,
perform one or more of the following diagnostic tests:
