Dome Lamp Replacement Without Sunroof

1. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the lens from the dome lamp housing.



2. If required, remove the dome lamp bulb.



3. If required, rotate the reading lamp with socket counterclockwise. Remove the lamp with socket.



4. Remove the dome lamp by pulling downward on the edges of the lamp.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dome lamp.
6. If required, remove the dome lamp retainer from the headliner.

Important: The dome lamp retainer will not fit tightly until after you have installed the dome lamp.

1. If required, install the dome lamp retainer to the headliner.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the dome lamp.
3. For vehicles without a sunroof, install the dome lamp. Press the lamp into place until fully seated.



4. For vehicles with a sunroof perform the following steps:

4.1.	Adjust the sunroof finishing lace for access. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement in Roof.

4.2.	Slide your hand between the roof and the headliner. Support the retainer for the dome lamp installation.

4.3.	Install the dome lamp by pressing the lamp into place.

4.4.	Install the sunroof finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement in Roof.




5. If required, position the reading lamp with socket to the lamp opening. Rotate the bulb clockwise to secure.



6. If required, install the lamp bulb to the dome lamp.



7. Install the dome lamp lens. Press the lens into place until fully seated.

Dome Lamp Replacement With Sunroof

1. Remove the dome lamp lens from the dome lamp housing, using a small flat-bladed tool.



2. Remove the dome lamp bulb from the dome lamp, if required.



3. Remove the reading lamp bulb from the dome lamp, if required.



4. Remove the dome lamp from the housing retainer by pulling on the dome lamp housing to release the tab retainers.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dome lamp.
6. Remove the dome lamp housing retainer from the headliner by twisting sideways and pulling out, if required.

Important: The dome lamp housing retainer will not fit tight.




1. Install the dome lamp housing retainer to the headliner by twisting sideways and pushing in.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the dome lamp.



3. Position your hand between the roof and the headliner to support the dome lamp housing retainer in to position.
4. Position the dome lamp tab retainers to the holes in the dome lamp housing retainer.
5. Install the dome lamp housing to the housing retainer, pressing into place from both sides until fully seated.



6. Install the reading lamp bulb from the dome lamp pressing into place, if required.



7. Install the dome lamp bulb to the dome lamp pressing into place, if required.



8. Install the dome lens to the dome lamp housing, pressing into place until fully seated.
