1. Remove any apparent cause for damage to the battery.
2. Remove the damaged battery. Refer to the Removal Procedure in Battery Replacement .
3. If required, replace the Battery Tray. Refer to Battery Tray and Hold Down Retainer Description
4. If required, replace the Battery Hold Down Retainer. Refer to Battery Tray and Hold Down Retainer Description
5. Replace the battery. Refer to the Installation Procedure in Battery Replacement .
