DEFINITION: The automatic transmission's gear
selection (PRNDL) indicating light does not illuminate with the Ignition
Switch in the Run position. However, the Voltmeter on the Instrument Cluster
does indicate battery voltage. This diagnostic procedure is applicable for
vehicles equipped with column shift automatic transmissions only. Brake Transmission
Shift Interlock Cell 138 covers this diagnosis for vehicles equipped with
a floor shift automatic transmission.
