Important: To prevent leakage, thoroughly clean all parts and sealing surfaces.
- Install the oil filter assembly/fluid cooler mounting bracket to the
oil filter assembly/fluid cooler
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the attaching bolts.
Tighten
Tighten oil filter assembly/fluid cooler bracket bolts to 30 N·m
(22 lb ft).
- Position the oil filter assembly/fluid cooler in the vehicle.
- Install the bolts attaching the oil filter assembly/fluid cooler
mounting bracket to the radiator support.
Tighten
Tighten oil filter assembly/fluid cooler bolts to 30 N·m
(22 lb ft).
- Connect the transmission oil cooler lines to the oil filter assembly/fluid
cooler. Refer to Oil Cooler Lines Replacement in Automatic Transmission-4L60-E.
- Connect the engine oil cooler lines to the oil filter assembly/fluid
cooler. Refer to

- Connect the water pump inlet hose to the oil filter assembly/fluid
cooler. Refer to

- Connect the (lower) radiator outlet hose to the oil filter assembly/fluid
cooler. Refer to

- Install the radiator air intake baffle. Refer to Radiator Air

- Fill the cooling system with specified coolant and concentration.

- Inspect all sealing surfaces of the oil filter assembly/fluid
cooler for leaks after starting the engine.
