1. Set parking brake and block wheels.
2. Insert key into the ignition switch and turn to the RUN position.
3. Depress the brake pedal and shift the automatic transmission controller into each of the following positions while trying to turn the ignition switch to the OFF position each time:

REVERSE

•

NEUTRAL

•

DRIVE

•

The ignition switch will not return all the way to the OFF position and the steering wheel will not lock.

Ignition switch returns to the OFF position and the steering wheel locks.

Return the automatic transmission controller to the PARK position and try to turn the ignition switch to the OFF position while depressing the lock cylinder release button.

The ignition switch returns to the OFF position and the steering wheel locks

The ignition switch will not return all the way to the OFF position and the steering wheel will not lock.
