Was the Headlight System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Headlight System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the left headlamp low beam connector.
2. Move the headlamp switch to the ON (HEAD) position.
3. Move the multifunction switch to the LOW BEAMS position.
4. Connect a test lamp from the left headlamp low beam, terminal A to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 712 (YEL) between the left headlamp low beam terminal A and the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal B1.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

--

Connect a test lamp from the left headlamp terminal A to terminal B.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair an open in CKT 525 (YEL) between the left headlamp low beam terminal B and the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal A2.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

--

Replace the left headlamp low beam bulb.

Is the repair complete?

--
