Was the Headlight System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Headlight System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the right headlamp high beam connector.
2. Move the headlamp switch to the ON (HEAD) position.
3. Move the multifunction switch to the HIGH BEAMS position.
4. Connect a test lamp from the right headlamp connector terminal A to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair an open in CKT 198 (DK BLU) between the right headlamp high beam bulb terminal A and the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal B2.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

--

Connect a test lamp from the right headlamp connector terminal A to terminal B.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair the open in CKT 524 (PPL) between the right headlamp connector terminal B and the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal E3.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

--

Replace the right headlamp high beam bulb.

Is the repair complete?

--
