Was the Headlight System Check performed?

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the left headlamp high beam connector.
2. Move the headlamp switch to the ON (HEAD) position.
3. Move the multifunction switch to the HIGH BEAM position.
4. Connect a test lamp from the left headlamp high beam terminal A to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp from the left headlamp high beam terminal A to terminal B.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open in CKT 524 (PPL) between the left headlamp high beam terminal B and the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal E3.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

Replace the left headlamp high beam bulb.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 712 (YEL) between the underhood fuse block connector C4 terminal B1 and the left headlamp high beam terminal A.

Is the repair complete?
