1. Install the scan tool.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Select BCM DTC with the scan tool.
4. Check for any stored DTCs which may have an effect on serial data line communication.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF.
6. Remove the scan tool.

No DTCs are stored in memory.

DTC is stored in memory. Go to applicable DTC table.

1. If the keyless entry system is active, walk towards vehicle.
2. If the passive keyless entry system is not active, open the driver's door.

1. LH/RH instrument panel console courtesy lamps are illuminated.
2. overhead console courtesy lamps are illuminated.
3. rear compartment courtesy lamp is illuminated.

1. LH/RH instrument panel console courtesy lamps are inoperative.
2. overhead console courtesy lamps are inoperative.
3. rear compartment courtesy lamp is inoperative.

1. Close the driver's door.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Open and close the instrument panel glovebox door.
4. Open and close the LH/RH vanity mirror covers.
5. Open and close the engine compartment.

1. The instrument panel compartment lamp is illuminated.
2. The LH/RH vanity mirror lamps are illuminated.
3. The underhood lamp is illuminated.

1. The instrument panel compartment lamp is inoperative.
2. The LH and/or RH vanity mirror lamps are inoperative.
3. The underhood lamp is inoperative.
