1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

1. Ensure the headlamp switch is in the AUTO/OFF position
2. Using the scan tool command the headlamp power relay ON.

Does the headlamps come on?

Using the scan tool, read the flash to pass switch status as you move the switch.

Does the scan tool show the switch status change?

Connect a test lamp (back probe) from connector C211 terminal E2 of the multifunction switch to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair CKT 639 (PNK) for an open between the underhood fuse block and the multifunction switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Connect a test lamp (back probe) from connector C211 terminal E11of the multifunction switch to ground.
2. While probing, move the flash to pass switch.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Replace the multifunction switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Locate and repair the open in CKT  1356 (BRN) between the multifunction switch and the BCM. If no open is found, replace the BCM.

Is the repair complete?

1. Connect a test lamp from terminal 86 of the flash to pass relay CKT 1356 (BRN) to ground.
2. While observing the test light, move the flash to pass switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1356 (BRN) between the multifunction switch and the flash to pass relay terminal 86.

Is the repair complete?

1. Connect a Test lamp from terminal 85 of the flash to pass relay CKT 150 (BLK) to ground.
2. While observing the test light, move the flash to pass switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the flash to pass relay terminal 85 and ground G110.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a Test lamp from terminal 87 of the flash to pass relay CKT 524 (PPL) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 524 (PPL) between the flash to pass relay terminal 87 and the underhood fuse block connector C1 terminal D1.

1. Connect a Test lamp from terminal 30 of the flash to pass relay CKT 150 (BLK) to ground.
2. While observing the test light, move the flash to pass switch.

Does the test lamp light?
