Has the Exterior Lamp System Check been performed?

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Connect a scan tool.
  3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

Turn the park lamps ON.

Do the park lamps function properly?

Go to Step 4

  1. Remove the inoperative lamp.
  2. Inspect the filament.

Is the lamp open?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the lamp.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test lamp from terminal B to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 10

Inspect LR PRK LP fuse (LH) and/or RR PRK LP (RH) fuse in the underhood fuse block. Is the fuse good?

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair CKT 2509 (BRN) (LH) and/or CKT 2609 (BRN/WHT) (RH) for a short to ground between the lamp and the underhood fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Locate and repair CKT 2509 (BRN) (LH) and/or CKT 2609 (BRN/WHT) (RH) for an open between the lamp and the underhood fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair CKT 1350 for an open to the G450 ground.

Is the repair complete?
