Was the Automatic Day-Night System Check Performed?

Go to Automatic Day-Night Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the automatic day-night rear view mirror connector.
2. With the ignition in the RUN position, place the transmission in reverse.
3. Connect a test lamp from the automatic day-night rear view mirror connector cavity 3 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Inspect the backup lights.

Do the backup lights function properly?

Go to Step 5

Go to Backup Lamps Inoperative

Replace the automatic day-night rear view mirror. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Automatic Day-Night Mirrors System Check

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1324 (LT GRN) between the mirror and the VEH B/U lamp fuse.
