Was the Power Windows System Check performed?

  1. Access the RH door lock and side window switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) to CKT 167 (TAN), terminal E and CKT 166 (LT BLU), terminal A at the RH door lock and side window switch connector C2.
  4. Operate the LH window at the RH door lock and side window switch in the UP/DOWN position.
  5. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

Inspect for a poor connection at the RH door lock and side window switch.

Is the connection OK?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the connection as necessary.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the RH door lock and side window switch.

  1. Access the LH door lock and side window switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 166 (LT BLU), terminal J at the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1 and ground.
  4. Ensure that the LH door lock and side window switch connector remains connected.
  5. Operate the LH window at the RH door lock and side window switch in the UP position.
  6. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 8

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 166 (LT BLU) between the RH door lock and side window switch connector C2 terminal A and the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1 terminal J.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 167 (TAN), terminal L at the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1and ground.
  2. Ensure that the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1 remains connected.
  3. Operate the LH window at the RH door lock and side window switch in the DOWN position.
  4. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 10

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 167 (TAN) between the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1 terminal L and the RH door lock and side window switch connector C2 terminal E.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 666 (DK BLU), terminal G and CKT 667 (BRN), terminal K at the LH door lock and side window switch connector C1.
  2. Operate the LH window at the RH door lock and side window switch in the DOWN position.
  3. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 14

Inspect for a poor connection at the LH front door lock and side window switch.

Is the connection OK?

Replace the LH front door lock and side window switch.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the side window lockout switch in the NORMAL (UNLOCKED) position.
  3. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 1307 (DK BLU), terminal F at the LH front door lock and side window switch connector C1 and ground.
  4. Ensure that connector C1 remains connected.
  5. Test for voltage.

Is Ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 16

Locate and repair the open or high resistance between CKT 1307 (DK BLU) at terminal F of the LH front door lock and side window switch connector C1and terminal B of the side window lockout switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 666 (DK BLU), terminal C at the LH front side window regulator motor connector and CKT 667 (BRN), terminal K at the LH front door lock and side window switch connector C1.
  2. Operate the LH door lock and side window switch in the UP position.
  3. Test for voltage.

Is Ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 18

Locate and repair the open or high resistance at CKT 666 (DK BLU) between terminal C at the LH front side window regulator motor connector and terminal G at the LH front door lock and side window switch connector C1.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 666 (DK BLU), terminal C and CKT 667 (BRN), terminal B at the LH front side window regulator motor connector.
  2. Operate the LH door lock and side window switch in the DOWN position.
  3. Test for voltage.

Is Ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 20

Locate and repair the open or high resistance at CKT 667 (BRN) between terminal B at the LH front side window regulator motor connector and terminal K at the LH front door lock and side window switch connector C1.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect for a poor connection at the LH front side window regulator motor.

Is the connection OK?
