DEFINITION: This diagnostic table should only be used if the LH mirror moves left to right but will not move up and down.

Was the Outside Mirror System Check performed?

1. Disconnect the LH power outside mirror connector.
2. Position the selector switch to the LH power mirror.
3. Connect a test lamp between CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) cavity D and ground.
4. Press the switch to the down position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the power outside mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

1. Locate and repair open in CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) between the LH power outside mirror and the power mirror switch.
2. If there is no open, replace the power mirror switch.
