Was the Power Door Locks System Check performed?

  1. Use a scan tool in order to read the body control module (BCM) current diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
  2. Inspect for the following DTCs:
  3. • B3137
    • B3138
    • B3147
    • B3148

Are one or more of the above DTCs set as a current code?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the endgate lock cylnder switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the switch terminal D CKT 840 (ORN) and ground.
  3. Inspect the connector terminals for looseness or damage.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal D, CKT 840 (ORN) and terminal A, CKT 195 (LT BLU) of the endgate lock cylinder connector.

Do the doors LOCK?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair an open in CKT 840 (ORN).

Is the repair complete?

--

Refer to Power Door Locks System Check

Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal D, CKT 840 (ORN) and terminal B, CKT 194 (WHT) of the endgate lock cylinder connector.

Do the doors UNLOCK?

--

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 195 (LT BLU).

Is the repair complete?

--

Replace the endgate lock cylinder switch.

Is the repair complete?
