Has the Power Seats System Check been performed?

  1. Ensure that the seat lateral motor electrical connector is connected.
  2. Connect a test lamp to ground.
  3. Backprobe the seat lateral motor connector terminal A.
  4. Operate the seat adjuster switch to the FORWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

  1. Ensure that the seat lateral motor electrical connector remains connected.
  2. Connect a test lamp to ground.
  3. Backprobe the seat lateral motor connector terminal B.
  4. Operate the seat adjuster switch to the REARWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Replace the seat lateral motor.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Access the power seat adjuster switch.
  2. Remove the torx screw.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Connect a test lamp to ground.
  5. Probe the terminal connected to the TAN wire.
  6. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the FORWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Access the power seat adjuster switch.
  2. Remove the torx screw.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Connect a test lamp to ground.
  5. Probe the terminal connected to the LT GRN wire.
  6. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the REARWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in the TAN wire between the power seat adjuster switch and the seat lateral motor.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in the LT GRN wire between the power seat adjuster switch and the seat lateral motor.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Seats System Check

Replace the power seat adjuster switch.
