Have you performed the Memory Seat System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Memory Seats System Check

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

Using A Digital Multimeter (DMM), check for voltage at the memory seat module terminal for CKT 1440 (ORN).

Does the DMM read the specified value?

11-14V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

1. Locate and repair the open or short to ground in CKT 1440 (ORN) between the power seat adjuster switch and the PWR SEATS circuit breaker located in the body relay block.
2. If no open is found, check the circuit breaker for proper operation.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Memory Seats System Check

Using a DMM, measure the continuity to ground of CKT 1350 (BLK) at the memory seat module and the power seat adjuster switch.

Is continuity present on CKT 1350?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair open in CKT 1350 (BLK) between the memory seat module and/or the power seat adjuster switch and ground G450.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Memory Seats System Check

Using A DMM, check for continuity from the BLK (1350) wire at the power seat adjuster switch to each of the following wires at it's terminal of the power seat adjuster switch as related to the corresponding switch activation.

Is there continuity during each switch activation?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Replace the power seat adjuster switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Memory Seats System Check

Replace the memory seat module and wiring harness.

Is the repair complete?

--
