Tools Required:

J 21426 Rear Extension Seal Installer

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement in Propeller Shaft .



3. Remove the rear extension oil seal.

1. Install the new seal usingJ 21426 .
2. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement in Propeller Shaft .
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Check the transmission fluid level.

Use Dexron® III Automatic Transmission Fluid.
