Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 41374 Size: SH
  1. Remove the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  2. Remove the valve rocker arms and the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  3. Loosen the valve lifter guide bolts.
  4. Remove the valve lifter guide.
  5. Remove the valve lifters.

Installation Procedure
  1. Coat the valve lifters with prelube, GM P/N 12345501 or equivalent prior to installation.

    2. Object Number: 41374 Size: SH
  2. Install the valve lifters.
  3. Install the valve lifter guide.
  4. Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  6. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
