TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

The wheel alignment specifications shown on Page 3A-3 of the 1986 Cavalier Service Manual have changed. Please use the specificiations on the attached sheet instead of those on Page 3A-3.

Alignment Setting Specs. for diagnosis for warranty or customer paid service

Toe (degrees/wheel 0 Deg +/- 0.1 Deg

Sum toe (see note B) 0 deg +/- 0.2 Deg

Steering Wheel (see note A) 0 Deg +/- 5.0 Deg

Camber 0.8 Deg +/- 0.5 Deg

Cross Camber (L-R) 0 Deg +/- 1.0 Deg

Caster 1.7 Deg +/- 1.0 Deg

Cross Caster (L-R) 0 Deg +/- 1.0 Deg

A. Measured with front individual toes equal

B. 215/60R14 tires: Sum Toe spec. is - 0.13 Deg +/- 0.20 Deg

Vehicle must be jounced three times before checking alignment to eliminate false geometry readings.
