Bulletin 86-175 (Section 7B) dated Oct., 1986 is being reissued to clarify that the clutch component part numbers listed are for use only in the M19 Muncie 4 speed transmissions.
The 1987 Cavalier clutch system design has been updated and improved. A new clutch driven disc and pressure plate assembly have been released.
When servicing clutch systems from previous model year Cavaliers (1985-1986), it is recommended that the updated clutch components be installed.
This bulletin provides the parts information for the new clutch components and application. The part numbers are as follows:
