Catalytic Converter Replacement 2.2L

Notice: Do not over-flex or damage the flex joint when moving the flex joint from the normal mounting position.

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Support the three-way catalytic converter.
3. Support the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.



4. Remove the three-way catalytic converter from the intermediate pipe.



5. Remove the three-way catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.



6. Remove the three-way catalytic converter and seals.
7. Clean the flange surfaces.

1. Install the three-way catalytic converter seals.



2. Install the three-way catalytic converter to the intermediate pipe assembly.



3. Install the three-way catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.

Notice: Do not over-flex or damage the flex joint when moving the flex joint from the normal mounting position.

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Support the three-way catalytic converter.
3. Support the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.



4. Remove the three-way catalytic converter from the intermediate pipe.



5. Remove the three-way catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.



6. Remove the three-way catalytic converter and seals.
7. Clean the flange surfaces.

1. Install the three-way catalytic converter seals.



2. Install the three-way catalytic converter to the intermediate pipe assembly.



3. Install the three-way catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold pipe assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
