Exhaust Manifold Replacement 2.4L

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Support the three-way catalytic converter.



3. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe assembly from the three way catalytic converter.



4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold and three-way catalytic converter seals.
6. Clean the flange surfaces.

1. Install the exhaust manifold and the three-way catalytic converter seals.
2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold.



3. Install the exhaust manifold pipe assembly to the three-way catalytic converter.
4. Lower the vehicle.

Exhaust Manifold Replacement 2.2L

Notice: Do not over-flex or damage the flex joint when moving the flex joint from the normal mounting position.

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Support the three-way catalytic converter.



3. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe assembly from the three-way catalytic converter.



4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold seal and the three-way catalytic converter seal.
6. Clean the flange surfaces.

1. Install the exhaust manifold seal and the three-way catalytic converter seal.
2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold.



3. Install the exhaust manifold pipe assembly to the three-way catalytic converter.
4. Lower the vehicle.
