Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Relieve the system fuel
pressure. Refer to
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
- Drain fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure
.
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
for 2.2L or
Fuel Tank Replacement
for 2.4L.
- Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank pressure sensor.
- Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) from modular fuel sender.
Installation Procedure
- Install the new fuel tank
pressure sensor (1) to modular fuel sender.
- Install the electrical connector to fuel tank pressure sensor.
- Install the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
for 2.2L or
Fuel Tank Replacement
for 2.4L..
- Refill tank.
- Install the negative battery cable.
