Did you perform the Backup Lights System Check?

Go to Backup Lamp System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Disconnect the inoperative back-up lamp connector.
3. Place the transaxle in the REVERSE position.
4. Connect the J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) between terminal A of the back-up lamp harness connector and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect the J 39200 DMM between terminal A and terminal G (C-Chevrolet) of the inoperative back-up lamp harness connector.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step  5

Go to Step  6

Repair the open in CKT 24 between splice S400 and the inoperative back-up lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Backup Lamp System Check

Replace the inoperative back-up lamp or connector. Refer to one of the following procedures:

Repair the open in CKT 150 between the inoperative back-up lamp and S330. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
