Did you perform the Audible Warnings Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the multi-function alarm module connectors.
  2. Unbuckle the left front seat belt.
  3. Connect a test light between the multi-function alarm module connector C2 terminal D and the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 3

  1. Buckle the left front seat belt.
  2. Connect the test light between the multi-function alarm module connector C2 terminal D and the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 10

Measure the voltage between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and ground.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

0 V

Go to Step 6

Repair a short to B+ between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and one of the following terminals:

    • The seat belt switch connector terminal A
    • The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module connector terminal 8

  1. Disconnect the left seat belt switch.
  2. Measure the resistance in CKT 238 between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and the seat belt switch connector terminal A.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 8

Repair an open between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and the seat belt switch connector terminal A. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Measure the resistance between the left front seat belt connector terminal B and ground.

Is the resistamce within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 12

Repair an open between the seat belt switch connector terminal B and ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the left seat belt switch.
  2. Measure the resistance between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and ground.

Is the resistance infinite?

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 11

Repair a short to ground between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 terminal K and one of the following terminals:

    • The seat belt switch connector terminal A
    • The connector terminal 8 of the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module
