Each of the outside mirrors has 2 reversible motors. The motors perform the following functions:

    • One motor adjusts the view up and down.
    • One motor adjusts the view left and right.

The driver operates 4 switches. These switches control the polarity of the voltage to the motors. The mirror select switch directs these control voltages to the outside mirrors.

When the switches are in the positions shown in the schematic, the left outside mirror moves. When the up/down switch is moved to the DOWN position, the following actions occur:

  1. Battery voltage from CKT 1732 is applied to the following components:
  2. • CKT 1499
    • The up-down motor in the left outside mirror
  3. The left outside mirror up-down switch supplies a path to ground through the following components:
  4. • CKT 88
    • The DOWN position contacts of the up/down switch
    • CKT 150
  5. The left mirror up/down motor runs. This adjusts the mirror up.

When the mirror control switchis moved to the UP position, the above process repeats, with the following differences:

    • The same motor receives voltage.
    • CKT 1499 is grounded.
    • The motor runs in order to adjust the mirror down.

The left side left/right motor operates in a similar manner when you move the left/right joystick to the LEFT position. CKT 1499 receives battery voltage and CKT 81 is grounded through the left/right switch.

The left side left/right motor operates in a similar manner when you move the left/right joystick to the RIGHT position. CKT 1499 receives battery voltage and CKT 81 is grounded through the left/right switch.
