Did you perform the theft deterrent diagnostic system check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Theft Deterrent

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector.
  2. Record any DTCs present.
  3. Clear the DTCs.

Was DTC B1011 and/or B1025 set?

--

Go to DTC B1011 Passlock Cyl Data Shorted This Ign Cycle

Go to Step 3

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector.
  2. Record any DTCs present.
  3. Clear the DTCs.

Was DTC B1012 and/or B1027 set?

Go to DTC B1012 Passlock Bad R-code This Ignition Cycle

Go to Step 4

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector.
  2. Record any DTCs present.
  3. Clear the DTCs.

Was DTC B1028 set?

Go to Step 6

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Repair a short to ground in CKT 1350. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
