Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

  1. Disconnect the turn/hazard headlamp switch connector C1.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between terminal C and E of the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly harness connector.

Do the low beam headlamps operate?

Replace the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly.

Test CKT 150 for an open.

Was an open found?

Go to Step 4

Repair open in CKT 150.

Is repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1201 between the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly and the composite headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
