  1. Disconnect the radio connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition Switch to the RUN position.
  3. Use the J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between terminal 10 of the radio harness connector C1 and ground.

Does the voltage measure equal within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 2

Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 5 and terminal 10 of the radio harness connector C1.

Does the voltage measure equal the specified value?

B+

Repair the open in CKT 1733 between the Multi-Function Alarm Module and the radio. Refer to Wiring Repair in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Use the J 39200 in order to measure the voltage between terminal 5 and terminal 9 of the radio harness connector C1.

Does the voltage measure equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 350 between the radio and ground G303.

    • For Chevrolet, refer to Radio Replacement .
    • For Pontiac, refer to Radio Replacement .

Remove the radio for repair. Refer to radio in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Repair the open in CKT 43 between the fuse block and the radio. Refer to Wiring Repair in Wiring Systems.
