Did you complete the instrument cluster diagnostic system check?

 

Go to Step 2

  1. Disconnect the multifunction alarm module connectors.
  2. Connect a test light between the multifunction alarm module CKT 340 connector C2 terminal D and the multifunction alarm module CKT 150 terminal E.

Does the test light illuminate?

Replace the multifunction alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Connect the test lamp to CKT 340 between the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal D and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 5

Inspect for a faulty connection at the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal D.

Is the connection OK?

Go to Step 7

Repair the faulty connection at the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal D. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Measure the resistance in CKT 150 between the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal E and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Repair an open in CKT 150 between the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal E and ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair an open circuit condition in CKT 340 between the multifunction alarm module connector C2 terminal D and the fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
