Important: A short will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the remote control door lock receiver between connector C1 terminal A and ground.
2. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

Does the test lamp flash?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 4

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the remote control door lock receiver between connector C1 terminal E and terminal A.
2. Press the LOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

Does the test lamp remain lit?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the left front door lock motor connector.
2. Connect the test lamp between terminal A of the left front door lock motor connector and ground.
3. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

Does the test lamp flash?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Connect the test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the left front door lock motor connector.
2. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

Does the test lamp flash?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 694 between the remote control door lock receiver connector C1 terminal A and the left front door lock motor connector terminal A. Refer to Wiring Repair in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Replace the left front door lock motor. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Repair the open in CKT 295 between the left front door lock motor connector terminal B and the door lock relay connector terminal B. Refer to Wiring Repair in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
