Did you perform the outside mirrors system check?

  1. Disconnect the LH outside mirror.
  2. Move the mirror select switch to the LH position.
  3. Connect a test light between the mirror connector terminal A and ground.
  4. Hold the mirror switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Connect the test light between the mirror connector terminal A and terminal C.
  2. Hold the mirror switch in the UP position.
  3. Hold the mirror switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both positions?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Connect the test light between the mirror connector terminal A and terminal B.
  2. Hold the mirror switch in the LEFT position.
  3. Hold the mirror switch in the RIGHT position.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both positions?

  1. Inspect the wiring from the mirror to the switch
  2. Inspect the connections between the mirror switch and the LH outside mirror.

Are the wiring and the connections OK?

  1. Inspect the wiring form the mirror to the switch.
  2. Inspect for a faulty connection between the outside mirror switch and the LH outside mirror.

Are the wiring and the connections OK?

Replace the suspect outside mirror motor.
