Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Defogger Chevrolet

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the right side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    3. Object Number: 648686 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the right side window defroster duct from the HVAC module assembly.
  4. Remove the defroster duct from the clip.
  5. Disconnect the defroster duct from the right side window defogger adapter.
  6. Remove the defroster duct from the IP carrier.
  7. Remove the right side window defogger adapter.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the right side window defogger adapter.
  2. Install the right side defroster duct to the IP carrier.

    3. Route the duct through the IP carrier hole.

  3. Push the defroster duct to the clip and seat.
  4. Connect the defroster duct to the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Connect the defroster duct to the right side window defogger adapter.
  6. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Defogger Pontiac

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the right side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    3. Object Number: 648687 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the right side window defroster duct from the HVAC module assembly.
  4. Remove the defroster duct from the clip.
  5. Disconnect the defroster duct from the right side window defogger adapter.
  6. Remove the defroster duct from the IP carrier.
  7. Remove the right side window defogger adapter.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the right side window defogger adapter.
  2. Install the right side defroster duct to the IP carrier.

    3. Route the duct through the IP carrier hole.

  3. Push the defroster duct to the clip and seat.
  4. Connect the defroster duct to the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Connect the defroster duct to the right side window defogger adapter.
  6. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
