Subject:SES Light and Unwanted Switch to Gasoline due to a P1202 DTC

Models:1999 - 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
with 2.2L Engine (VIN 4 - RPO LN2)
and CNG (RPO KL6)



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

On rare occasions, an extended crank and/or SES Light may be experienced with a DTC P1202 and unwanted switch to gasoline operation.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If the SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause this concern, replace the Low Pressure Lock-Off Assembly.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
