SPARK KNOCK COMMENTS NEW PROM INFORMATION

Model and Year 1984 CAMARO, CELEBRITY, AND CITATION WITH 2.5L ENGINE

This cancels and replaces 84-111 dated June, 1984 which should be destroyed. This copy identifies an additional axle ratio and a revised TCC engagement speed.

A customer comment of spark knock on the 2.5L engine may be received. If normal diagnosis in Section 6E2 of the Service Manual does not repair this condition, a new PROM may be installed, as listed below. This condition applies only to vehicles with automatic transmissions/transaxles.
