NEW DESIGN LO / REVERSE PIPE, SEAL AND COMPONENTS

MODEL AND YEAR: 1987 CAVALIER, CELEBRITY WITH WINDSOR BUILT THM 125C TRANSAXLE

From January 12, 1987 through April 6, 1987, Julian dates 012-096 (refer to Figure 1), Windsor built THM 125C transaxles were assembled with a new design Lo/Reverse pipe, seal and components.

To assist in parts identification, the parts catalog refers to these changes as a Second Design. Effective with transaxles produced after April 6, 1987, Julian date 097 and higher, the original design Lo/Reverse pipe, seal and components re-entered production.

To service the new design lo/reverse pipe, seal and related components (refer to Figure 2) order the folloing:

If a case, using the Second Design Lo/Reverse pipe, requires replacement, order a first design case (part number 8653918) and first design lo/reverse pipe, seal and components (refer to parts catalog for first design part numbers).
