WARPED LEFT FRT. DOOR INTERIOR HANDLE ESCUTCHEON (NEW PART)

Model and Year: 1987 A CAR WITH POWER WINDOWS

TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

A redesigned left front door remote handle trim escuthcheon P/N 10125701, has been released for service to address owner comments of warpage on 1987 Celebrities with power windows. The new escutcheons have two (2) retaining legs added to the upper edge to prevent warping. Therefore, some modification is required to the door trim panel. To install a new escutcheon use the following procedure.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

Procedure:

1. Remove front door remote handle trim escutcheon.

2. Using template provided, mark area of door trim pad to be cut out. Align new escutcheon to trim pad to insure area marked for removal is correct, and using a sharp blade make cut-outs.

3. Install new escutcheon
