CHECKING CORRECT FLUID LEVEL INDICATOR LOCATION / TRANSAXLE

MODEL AND YEAR: 1987 BERETTA, CAVALIER, CELEBRITY, CORSICA 1988 BERETTA, CORSICA

There may be instances when technicians are replacing the fill tube plug (part number 10046677) with a fluid level indicator that goes into similar transaxles (see figure 1). An overfill condition can result along with hard shifting effort if this wrong indicator is installed (see figure 2). The MG282 already has a fluid level indicator that screws into the case that will show the required fluid level (see figure 4).
