When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Fuel leak from the fuel rail pressure sensor
Verify torque on the fuel rail pressure sensor is 70Nยทm(52 lb ft). An extension and a 1-1/16th inch crows foot may be required to torque the sensor. The crows foot should be kept at a 90 degree angle to torque wrench in order to apply the correct torque. Refer to SI document 676030 fuel line torque procedure for detail on torque procedures. You cannot get a socket on the sensor due to interference with the turbo.
If the leak continues after verifying the correct torque, replace the fuel rail pressure sensor gasket P/N 97329567.
If the leak continues after replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor gasket, replace the function block (supplied with fuel rail pressure sensor installed) P/N 97208076.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
