The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Questions regarding body color codes not being listed in bulletin 04-08-111-002A have been received. Be aware that the bulletin only applies to body side molding that are body color. The following body colors use a "Grainy Black" body side molding that
do not require painting:
Silverado
| • | 63U - Sport Red Metallic |
| • | 91U - Arrival Blue Metallic |
Avalanche/Suburban/Tahoe
| • | 25U - Dark Blue Metallic |
| • | 62U - Dark Gray Metallic |
Recommendation/Instructions:
If a vehicle with the "Grainy Black" body side molding has the "dimple" concern, replace the moldings with parts from GMSPO.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
