Before you install the battery, ensure that the battery carrier and the hold-down clamp are clean and free from corrosion.

The carrier should be in sound condition so that the carrier holds the battery securely and keeps the battery level. Also, ensure that there are no parts in the carrier before installing the battery.

In order to prevent the battery from shaking in the carrier, tighten the hold-down bolts to specifications. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .
