1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Turn the washer switch OFF.
3. Disconnect the windshield wiper switch.

Does the washer pump stop operating?

Go to Step 3

Replace the windshield wiper switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Connect the windshield wiper switch.
2. Turn the washer switch OFF.
3. Disconnect the windshield wiper pulse control module.
4. Connect a test light from cavity F of the windshield wiper pulse control module connector to ground.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the short to B + in CKT 96 (BRN) between the windshield wiper switch and cavity F of the windshield wiper pulse control module.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the windshield wiper pulse control module.
2. Connect a test light from cavity G of the windshield wiper pulse control module connector to ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the short to B + in CKT 228 (RED) between the windshield wiper pulse control module and the washer pump.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Replace the windshield wiper pulse control module.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
