    • Change the engine oil and filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement . If 3 months pass before 5 000 km (3,000 miles), change the oil after 3 months. This is an Emission Control Service.
    • Lubricate the following chassis components:

       - The kingpin bushings
       - The steering linkage

    • Conduct an evaporative control system inspection. Check all fuel and vapor lines and hoses for proper hook-up, routing and condition. Check that the purge valve works properly, if equipped. Replace as needed. This is an Emission Control Service.
    • Replace the air cleaner filter. This is an Emission Control Service.
    • Inspect the fuel tank, cap, and lines for damage or leaks. Inspect the fuel cap gasket for any damage. Refer to Fuel Tank Leak Check . Replace parts as needed. This is an Emission Control Service.
